Accounting Manager
Position Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Leesburg, VA (Hybrid)
Assignment type: Temp-to-permanent
Compensation: $55.00 - $62.00 / Per Hour
Work Schedule: M-F 9-5

Job Description:
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Oversee accounting activities related to fixed assets, revenue recognition, and inventory-related transactions.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, income statement analyses, and other key financial reporting schedules.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, supply chain, and commercial leadership to support accurate reporting and cost allocations.
- Support internal and external audit processes and help ensure compliance with financial reporting and control requirements.
- Develop, refine, and implement accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements to support a growing organization.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while helping build a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.
- Contribute to the continued buildout of the accounting function in an evolving and growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field required.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience required.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Strong ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills required; JD Edwards experience preferred.
- Familiarity with cost accounting and inventory processes highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Prior experience supporting audits and working in a dynamic, changing environment is preferred.
