Early Steps Bilingual Preschool is seeking a qualified and loving Bilingual (Spanish/English) Toddler/Early Preschool Teacher to join our team of educators at the Arlington location. Our center is just blocks away from the metro link systems and easy commuting.


If you have your Bachelor's Degree in a child development field, associate's in early education, or Child Development Associate degree, and you are bilingual (Spanish/English), please reply with your resume.

Duties

* Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
*Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, fine motor activities, educational play, etc.) to teach children
*Employ a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students including whole group and small group learning
*Guide children to develop independence and self-help skills
*Track children's progress and report to parents through daily written communication, twice yearly parent teacher conferences, and semesterly progress reports
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Superior classroom management skills
* Ability to solve problems and practice positive behavior guidance
* Ability to produce weekly lesson plans
* Ability to provide active supervision at all times
* Must be a self-disciplined and a dependable team player
* Ability to follow school policies and procedures
* Various other responsibilities that vary by classroom/age groups
* Must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds, on a daily basis and at any given time during the workday to carry and care for the children if necessary .
*Must be able to pass a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services background check, a TB test, Drug Screening and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification (infant, child and adult) and Medication Administration Training certification within 30 days of employment.
*Teachers must be able to adapt to the companies needs.

Requirements

Education:

• BA in Early Childhood Education preferred or similar graduate studies
• Min. CDA with further college studies

Skills:

• Fluent in Spanish and conversational English
• Understanding the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
• Prior classroom experience (at least two years of teaching experience)
