Machine Operator (Chester, VA with Travel Flexibility)

PolyClean USA is seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our Chester, VA team. This unique role offers the best of both worlds: the stability of a local position and the excitement of nationwide travel assignments. You'll operate advanced optical sorting equipment at our Chester facility and, during slower production periods, represent PolyClean across the country by transporting and operating mobile sorting systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Local Operations (Chester, VA):
  Operate and maintain state-of-the-art optical sorting machinery to ensure product quality and consistency.
  Perform preventative maintenance, monitor system performance, and adjust equipment as needed.
  Work collaboratively with production staff and supervisors to meet facility goals.
  Follow strict safety standards and maintain a well-organized workspace.

• Travel Assignments (Nationwide):
  Safely drive a company-owned non-CDL box truck to deliver specialized sorting equipment to customer sites.
  Set up, operate, and maintain machinery on-site, ensuring reliable performance in varied environments.
  Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform adjustments, and complete field maintenance tasks.
  Represent PolyClean professionally with customers, adapting to schedules that may last 1–6+ weeks. Balance independent decision-making with strong communication back to the management team.

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment.

Valid driver's license and ability to operate a non-CDL box truck.

Willingness to travel nationwide during lower production periods (overnight stays required).

Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Flexibility to adapt between local plant operations and field assignments.
