Lead 1 yr old Teacher
Summary Job Summary: We are seeking a caring and experienced Lead 1-Year-Old Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally enriching environment for infants and young toddlers. The ideal candidate will implement engaging activities that support early cognitive, motor, and social-emotional growth while fostering a warm and supportive classroom atmosphere. This role requires patience, attentiveness, and a strong understanding of infant development. The Lead 1-Year-Old Teacher will collaborate with families, mentor classroom assistants, and ensure a structured yet responsive learning space where children can explore, grow, and thrive. Duties Job Duties: - Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for one-year-olds.
- Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports early cognitive, motor, and social-emotional development.
- Encourage sensory exploration, movement, and hands-on learning experiences tailored to infants and young toddlers.
- Maintain a consistent daily routine, including meal times, diapering, naps, and structured play.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom, following health and safety guidelines.
- Foster early communication skills through songs, stories, and interactive language activities.
- Monitor children's progress and provide individualized support based on developmental milestones.
- Communicate regularly with families, sharing updates on their child's growth and learning experiences.
- Mentor and collaborate with classroom assistants to maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
- Create a warm and supportive atmosphere that helps infants feel secure and confident in their exploration. Requirements Job Requirements: - Education Required: High school diploma
- Education Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
- Certification: CPR and First Aid certification required; additional childcare-related certifications are a plus
- Experience: Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting preferred

- Strong understanding of infant and toddler development and age-appropriate teaching techniques
- Ability to create structured routines and engaging learning experiences tailored to one-year-olds
- Classroom management strategies that foster a safe, nurturing, and responsive learning environment
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with families and staff
