Job Description
Apply your expertise to advance the mission and optimize our business strategy as a Pricing Strategist SME at GDIT. At GDIT, people are our differentiator. You will lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies to win our most complex, large-scale, and strategic pursuits across all GDIT’s business areas. As technical solutions evolve to integrate emerging technologies, an innovative and transformative approach to pricing is what differentiates GDIT from the competition by delivering technical and business solutions that propel our clients’ missions forward. You will collaborate with Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and Pricing/PTW Analysts as a pricing subject matter expert to define business and financial solutions that meet our customers current and future needs and priorities, help to shape customer acquisitions, and position GDIT to win.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Lead development of cost and price strategies to include research, analysis, and complex cost model development in support of cost/price proposals for enterprise-focus bids
- Collaborate with Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and Pricing/PTW Analysts as a pricing subject matter expert to define business and financial solutions that meet our customers current and future needs and priorities
- Shape procurements and win strategies, developing effective and compelling briefings, proposal materials, reusable artifacts, financial models, and other related materials to position GDIT to win
- Assess RFP price evaluation models and contractual structures in conjunction with stated client objectives and competitive position. Work collaboratively with Capture Team, Pricing/PTW/CI, and Division leadership to reach PTW target that maximizes PWIN and considers execution risk and financial objectives
- Conduct business case and risk analyses on bid and execution models for large and complex bids, to include managed services solutions. Document assumptions, risks, and key factors that drive pricing strategy. Brief senior leadership on pricing strategy, analysis, and opportunity financial results
- Expertly identify and analyze cost levers, perform cost/value trade-offs, and evaluate solution alternatives from a cost/price perspective. Drive cost/price strategy and ensure integrated technical and business solutions.
- Document best practices, lessons learned and evaluate assumptions and approaches against post-award results. Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, a combination of additional yrs of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and/or training will be considered.
- Required Experience: 15+ yrs of related hands-on experience in pricing, pricing strategy, and/or price-to-win for large, complex proposals (>$100M) in all contract types. Position requires experience developing pricing strategies for IT Services, Cloud, Managed Services, Systems Integration, Engineering, and/or AI solutions in a competitive Federal Government Contracting environment. Must demonstrate an understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and cost/price evaluation factors that have an impact on financial cost and pricing models and practices. Having an in-depth knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to strategic pricing analysis is necessary.
- Required Technical Skills: Expert-level user of Microsoft Excel (building complex, custom cost models), Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to lead and collaborate with others in a team-oriented environment, effectively communicate complex analyses and/or strategies both verbally and in writing. Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable to support unique needs of each opportunity and capture team.
- Location: Hybrid schedule requiring 3 days/week onsite in our Falls Church, VA office.
