Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Senior System Cloud Administrator to join our team in Herndon, VA.

CLEARANCE

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Clearance

LOCATION

• Herndon, VA
• On-site a three times per week

OVERVIEW

• Responsible for the overall evaluation, design, and daily operation of the Corporate IT Server and Application Services (SAS) environment
• Act as a hands-on server administrator, evaluating complex system requirements and implementing efficient solutions
• Develop and document technical standards, evaluate new products, and collaborate with vendors for hardware/software procurement
• Work closely with IT teams to resolve system and application issues
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, maintain, and monitor the SAS environment across the Enterprise
• Ensure compliance with security and encryption protocols for U.S. national security
• Ensure 100% availability of the environment, implement fault and performance management, and enforce security procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, implement, and document processes for SAS infrastructure, including:
  • Performance monitoring
  • Problem troubleshooting and helpdesk response
  • Capacity planning
  • Landscape design, configuration, and standards
  • 24/7 support, escalation, and SLA models
  • IMAC (installation, move, add, change) services
  • Change management methodology and communication strategy
• Create and maintain server/application diagrams and workflows
• Perform and coordinate incident diagnosis, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
• Manage vulnerability assessments and monthly system patching and maintenance
• Oversee configuration, testing, installation, modification, and servicing of all server components and applications
• Independently organize work requests based on priorities and system criticality
• Manage vendor relationships for infrastructure components
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and consultant to Cloud Operations, Cyber Security, and Systems Administration teams
• Lead comprehensive system analysis and design activities, including development of functional requirements for server infrastructure solutions
• Maintain responsibility for end-user satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in an IT enterprise System Admin or Cloud Admin role
• 4+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for automation; must be highly proficient in PowerShell and command lines
• Expertise in Windows firewalls
• Expert-level Microsoft Azure Administrator experience
• Expert-level Windows administration skills (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy)

NICE TO HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• Professional industry certifications, such as:
  • MCSE, MCITP, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ900), Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ104), Azure Certified Solutions Architect (AZ303/304)
• Linux experience with SUSE, RedHat, or CentOS
• Experience with SEIM tools, backups, and monitoring tool integration
• Knowledge of best practice and security guides (e.g., NIST 800-53 rev 4)
