We’re Hiring: Administrative Assistant II

Location: Henry County Department of Planning, Zoning, & Inspection
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary Minimum: $40,649

The County of Henry is seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-focused individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant II in the Department of Planning, Zoning & Inspection. This position performs intermediate clerical and administrative duties in support of the department’s daily operations. Responsibilities include handling incoming and outgoing communications—such as emails, phone calls, and letters—and serving as the department’s front desk receptionist to assist with public inquiries.

This role requires attendance at various public meetings, including the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Housing Rehab Board. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing meeting materials, attending meetings, recording and preparing official minutes, and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate strong organizational and customer service abilities. The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain professionalism in a public-facing role is essential.
