Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Active Patrol in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government education location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas, assisting with access control, visitor screening, and the reporting of security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity.
- Support public-facing operations by maintaining a professional presence, following post orders and use-of-force guidelines, and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Baton certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
