Atlas Technologies, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals. We are seeking a full-time Firewall Engineer who will independently troubleshoot Enterprise Network issues to ensure continuity of service for our Defense Health Agency (DHA) customers .

Salary Range: $84,000 - $126,000, depending on experience

You Will:

• Triaging issues and resolving and/or escalating to the appropriate network teams for remediation.
• Engage with internal and external customers to provide status updates on network issues.
• Troubleshooting issues with a variety of different network devices and protocols.
• Working in a team setting and making recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation.
• Document projects, support actions, and other administrative artifacts to serve as reference material for related support activities and management staff.
• Ensuring incidents and service requests adhere to established service level agreements.
• Evaluate circumstances, identify root causes, and develop a plan for resolution.
• Resolve issues in a timely manner dealing with a variety of different network devices and protocols following applicable reporting formats.
• Support shifts to cover a 24x7 operational environment when required.

You Have:

• U.S. Citizenship.
• A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance .
• 6+ years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure.
• An understanding of complex networks and be able to utilize the latest practices and principles to resolve issues.
• A strong working knowledge with Cisco Routers/Switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, and F5 Network devices.
• A solid understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting.
• The ability to work in a dynamic, high paced, team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with the following Network protocols and services:
  • Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP)
  • Access Control Lists
  • Layer 2 Switching
  • Spanning Tree
  • Packet Analysis

Required Certifications:

• A baseline Security Certification: (CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SCCP).
• Operating Environment Certification: Cisco (CCNA or CCNP) or Palo Alto certification.

We'd be Impressed if You Had:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
