Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist

As we continue to expand, we're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team and help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations.

Job Description:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing daily billing operations, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role is essential in supporting our financial health and customer service goals.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily billing and invoicing tasks

• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies

• Match and verify weight tickets with billing data

• Track overdue payments and proactively engage with customers to resolve outstanding balances

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records

• Support basic accounting functions and month-end closing procedures

• Prepare aging reports and other financial summaries as needed

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and account issues
• General Bookkeeping tasks required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or related accounting functions.

• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and basic accounting principles

• Proficiency with billing systems and accounting software (QuickBooks online experience required)

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients and team members

• Experience handling weight ticket reconciliation or experience in the waste management industry is a plus
