LOCATION: Northern Virginia

CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, On-site

POSITION SUMMARY

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Systems Architect to design and develop advanced architectures for space, aerospace, electronic warfare, and C5ISR systems in support of Department of Defense and Intelligence Community missions. This role focuses on secure, scalable systems-of-systems integration and model-based engineering to support classified programs, including space and cyber initiatives. You will collaborate with both government and contractor teams to deliver full lifecycle systems engineering, from requirements definition through deployment, ensuring mission success in complex, high-assurance environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

• Define system requirements, interfaces, and architectures for complex, mission-critical systems.
• Lead system-of-systems design and mission thread integration using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
• Support full lifecycle development of electronic warfare, satellite, and space-based payloads.
• Collaborate with government clients and cross-functional teams to align architecture with mission needs.
• Contribute to technical documentation including ATO artifacts, CONOPS, and design review materials.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • DoD polygraph preferred.
• Proficient in MBSE tools such as SysML, Cameo, DOORS, or Rhapsody.
• Knowledge of architecture and acquisition frameworks including DoDAF and JCIDS.
• Familiarity with space systems, electronic warfare, and C4ISR mission domains.
