Foreman

Well established electrical construction company looking for foremen in the Hampton Roads, VA area for commercial and government work.

Responsibilities:

· Scheduling work activities, determining material needs, coordinating work with general contractors

· Install and repair electrical conduit, wire, equipment and fixtures

· Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems

· Troubleshoot electrical and fire alarm systems

· Oversee employee productivity to maintain budget

· Organize and instruct work crews in their task assignments

· Apply safety standards to work methods and adhere to all quality and safety codes

· Apply National Electric Code requirements to all work

​​ Qualifications:

· Must have journeyman or master electrician certification.

· Must be experienced and knowledgeable in commercial and industrial electrical work on military bases.

· Candidate must be honest, dependable, self-motivated, have a positive attitude, be willing to learn, drug free, clean-cut and neat, and a US citizen

· Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, and possess good written and verbal communication skills.

· Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals and be able to interpret plans and specifications to layout and install electrical systems and devices

· Must maintain attention to quality and detail, be highly productive and dependable

· Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools

· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

· Must have required tools for trade, legal driver's license and transportation

· Computer proficient in basic Word and Excel programs
