Job Overview
Sentara Health is seeking an RN for it's Observation/Transitional Care Unit:
The Obs/Transitional Care Unit is a 9-bed short stay unit used to care for med-surg patients who will be discharged within 24-48 hours.
Position Status : Flexi – Day shift
Position Location: Sentara Norfolk General
Minimum Requirements:
RN Licensure – Virginia Required
BSN, RN-Associate's Degree OR RN-Diploma Required
Two years of nursing experience Preferred
Previous acute care experience Preferred
Job Description Summary
Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfer. Coordinates and communicates capacity management plan to nursing units, leadership team, and physicians. Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards of care as required by patient populations.
