Digital Printing & Finishing Specialist

The Sir Speedy, Charlottesville, VA is looking for an experienced Digital Printing & Finishing Specialist. We have a fast-paced, creative, and flexible work environment that empowers our employees to contribute and work independently with a solid team of experienced professionals.

The Digital Printing & Finishing Specialist works closely with customers and our sales team, providing support with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

• Produce digital printing jobs.
• Schedule jobs by due dates indicated or as requested by management.
• Engage in printer maintenance when necessary and notify management of service calls required
• Operate all digital printers and finishing machines (CSC, Booklet Maker, Folder) in accordance with equipment operating procedures.
• Perform maintenance per the guidelines on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Communicate with the other employees and/or the customer for a complete understanding of the printing order.
• Keep the Digital Production area clean and organized.
• Perform troubleshooting with the equipment when necessary.
• Order and stock paper, toner inventory and finishing/bindery supplies per the direction of management.

Skills we are looking for:

• An understanding of digital printers and finishing machinery, their functions, and processes.
• An aptitude for math and detail.
• Ability to multi-task, operating multiple production machines simultaneously to maintain a high level of productivity.
• Able to apply written instructions about machine set-up and maintenance.

Skills desired, but not required:

• Experience with direct mail procedures, practices, and regulations
• Assist with job packaging as needed.
• Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
• Experience with PrintSmith or PrintersPlan

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
