Medical Receptionist / Medical Billing - Remote | WFH

Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in medical billing and a passion for patient care? We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist & Billing Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role combines front desk responsibilities with medical billing tasks, offering an engaging opportunity to work closely with both clinical and administrative staff.

About the Role:

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment, interacting with patients both over the phone and in person while managing billing operations. The role is currently remote as our practice operates via telehealth, with a planned transition to in-person work in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, assisting with scheduling, billing inquiries, and medication refills.

Return voicemails daily, ensuring prompt responses to patient needs.

Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) to verify medication refill dates, appointment details, and patient demographic information.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address billing-related matters.

Process billing for all patient visits daily and generate regular reports within the EMR system.

Assist in securely transferring documentation to external healthcare providers involved in patient care, such as dermatologists and specialists.

Utilize Excel and Google Docs to track workflow and generate reports.

Perform administrative tasks, including printing, copying, scanning, and mailing documents as needed.

What We're Looking For:

Experience in medical billing and patient account management.

Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient support.

Comfort with handling patient interactions over the phone and in person.

Proficiency in navigating electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage administrative responsibilities efficiently.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and general office technology.
