Program Coordinator - Adaptive Shooting

SUMMARY Implement and manage aspects of the Adaptive Shooting Programs Department. Knowledge of and support for the mission of the National Rifle Association.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain, within divisional guidelines, all educational materials, resources and digital databases located on NRA Adaptive Shooting Programs website including, but not limited to, Adaptive Products Database, Adaptive Hunting Database, and Adaptive Range Database.
2. Implement and promote the NRA Range Accessibility Subsidy Program. Receive, review, and accept documentation from parties applying for funds through the NRA Range Accessibility Subsidy Program.
3. Work closely with the Director, Community Engagement to conduct effective public relations/education programs, seminars and workshops/clinics covering topics pertinent to people with/without disabilities and senior citizens to be presented at NRA events and meetings to NRA members, non-members and the public.
4. Coordinate with the NRA Office of the Secretary and the leadership and staff of NRA Competitions Division in the implementation of the Competition Waiver Program.
5. Implement and monitor Adaptive Shooting Programs budget as determined by the Director. Review budget each month to ensure conformity to projected budget.
6. Work closely with the Director, Community Engagement Division to ensure that the goals and objectives of both the Division and Adaptive Shooting Programs are successfully met.
7. Represents, as directed, the NRA at events and activities sponsored by other national level organizations dedicated to supporting the disabled community.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: Coordination with NRA Community Engagement Division staff, General Operations Divisions and staff throughout the NRA, organizations dedicated to people with disabilities, NRA Board of Directors, Committee members and the general public. Position functions with minimal direct supervision and requires occasional local/national travel and occasional weekend work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of 2 years' experience working with people with disabilities and/or familiarity with medical terminology beneficial.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Comfort when working with and discussing matters pertaining to people with disabilities required. Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused on the task at hand essential. Strong administrative, analytical and effective organizational skills required. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines essential. Demonstrated ability to present material in an oral format to both small and large groups is essential. Ability to motivate volunteer staff is essential. Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint essential.
