Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) RN experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, and clinical documentation
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize arrhythmias, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Administer medications, perform comprehensive assessments, and maintain accurate documentation
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, cardiac care, and discharge instructions
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards
