Job Description : We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for cloud technologies and a desire to develop their skills in multiple areas: Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Observability, and Security. As a Cloud Engineer, you will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions that support our organization's digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure resources
• Work with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation/Terraform to automate resource provisioning
• Recommend new tooling to creatively solve problems and meet needs as they arise
• Design and implement flexible CICD Pipeline features to meet development team needs
• Ensure consistency in builds, deployments, releases, versioning, using industry-standard CICD practices
• Set up and maintain AWS environments in a multi-region, multi-az configuration
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises and operations
• Implement security best practices and compliance measures for AWS infrastructure
• Implement and maintain industry-standard monitoring solutions to ensure application performance, availability, and stability
• Drive cross-team resolution of incidents to completion, ensuring all necessary parties are involved with the solution and postmortem
• Ensure all necessary metrics, logs, and data points are collected, visualized, and configured for alerting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, specifically AWS
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Kustomize)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Experience with CICD Tools (Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable
