AWS Program Manager

Job Title: Program Manager III – Cloud Services (AWS / GovCon)
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites)

About the Role
Select Source Solutions is seeking a seasoned Program Manager III with GovCon experience to lead cloud migration and modernization projects within our expanding Cloud Services practice. This fully remote role focuses on strategic AWS initiatives to improve IT delivery, reduce operational costs, and enhance efficiency for federal clients.

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end cloud transformation projects, collaborating across technical and business units to deliver mission-critical solutions on time and within scope. This position requires deep AWS knowledge, robust project management skills, and a proven track record of success in cloud initiatives for government customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large-scale AWS cloud migration and modernization projects .

• Define project goals, scope, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders and leadership.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation plans.

• Act as the primary liaison with internal teams, vendors, and government stakeholders, ensuring alignment and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee the full migration lifecycle—discovery, planning, execution, cutover, and post-migration support.

• Drive cloud optimization strategies including performance monitoring, cost control, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to architect scalable and secure cloud solutions.

• Lead project kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and status reporting.

• Create documentation, toolkits, and playbooks for operational handoffs and long-term support.

• Provide mentoring and guidance on cloud best practices to both internal teams and government clients.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT project management experience , with 3+ years leading AWS cloud migration projects .

• Proven track record of success in federal government contracting (GovCon) environments.

• Strong knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC).

• Solid understanding of cloud migration methodologies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor).

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent work experience.

• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Project Manager).

• Experience with Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.

• Familiarity with federal compliance and security standards in cloud environments (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).

• Experience managing distributed, cross-functional teams.

Security Clearance Requirement

• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance .

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Primarily remote work with occasional client site travel as needed.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.

• Ability to access and navigate client and company systems and facilities.
