Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, respiratory status, and neurological functions.
- Administer medication, IV fluids, and other therapies, ensuring accurate dosages based on weight.
- Manage and maintain specialized equipment like incubators, ventilators, and phototherapy lamps.
- Provide direct patient care, including feeding, bathing, and wound care.
- Attend high-risk deliveries and respond to neonatal emergencies.
- Collaborate with doctors, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on their baby's condition and medical procedures.
- Educate parents on basic infant care, feeding, and how to manage their baby's specific needs at home.
Requirements
Job Qualification
- One year of NICU RN experience required, completed within the last two years.
- Active RN license in the state of practice (or compact state if applicable).
