We are currently seeking skilled Welders: Pipe GTAW CuNi for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.

Note : This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.

Overview :

Perform precision welding of copper-nickel piping systems on Navy ships.

Responsibilities :

• Weld pipe joints using GTAW/TIG process.
• Follow welding procedures and technical drawings.
• Conduct weld inspections and repairs.
• Work in confined shipboard spaces.

Qualifications :

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 4+ years welding experience; with at least 2+ years on Navy Ships.
• Completion of a formal trade training program (trade school, military training, apprenticeship, or equivalent) required.
• GTAW CuNi, Cres or CS pipe certification required.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA welding standards.
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.
