Chief Nursing Officer

Are you a dynamic and experienced nursing leader with a passion for behavioral health? We're looking for a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of direct patient care activities, nursing practice, education, and professional development. This role plays a critical part in fostering a culture focused on employee engagement, patient safety, quality care, and operational excellence.

Please Note: Candidates must have leadership experience in behavioral health nursing within an acute care setting. Outpatient experience will not be considered.

What You'll Do

Lead and implement strategies for process improvements focused on innovative care delivery, operational models, and enhanced patient outcomes.

Champion the use of technology to optimize operations, communication, and workflow efficiency.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and enforce policies and procedures that address patient care needs effectively.

Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Engage in decision-making processes with the hospital's governing body, senior leadership, medical staff, and clinical leaders.

Build and maintain community partnerships to improve patient outcomes and promote community health initiatives.

Advocate for shared governance, ensuring that nursing professionals are actively involved in decision-making processes.

Facilitate open, bi-directional communication among bedside nurses, leadership teams, and executive management.

What You'll Need

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of nursing management experience, with at least 3 of the last 5 years in a direct leadership role within a hospital setting or direct patient care environment.

Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
