We are now seeking a diligent and organised Accounting Assistant to join our team on a Full-Time basis in Virginia Beach, Virginia . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the smooth financial operations of a customer-focused company.

Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
* Processing and verifying invoices, expense claims, and payment requests.
* Performing daily data entry of financial transactions into our accounting system.
* Reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
* Supporting the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
* Maintaining accurate and organised financial files and records.
* Liaising with internal departments and external partners regarding financial enquiries.

Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
* A strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
* Hands-on experience with accounting software is highly desirable.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not essential.
