Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Professional Fee Medical Coder. This position will be responsible for reviewing and assigning appropriate diagnosis (ICD-10-CM) and procedure (CPT/HCPCS) codes for physician services across multiple specialties.
Job Description
- Review clinical documentation and accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for professional services
- Code a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, cardiology, ENT, primary care, and podiatry
- Perform E/M leveling and code injections/infusions
- Code Injections and Infusions accurately.
- Be flexible and able to switch between specialties as needed.
- Work without a client-provided electronic coding encoder.
- Must have access to personal coding books or encoder software.
- Productivity expectation: Code 120 to 150 charts per day.
Skills Required
- Strong background in multi-specialty coding, including surgeries and office-based services
- Proficient in using EPIC electronic health record system
- 2–3 years of professional coding experience preferred
Education/Training/Certifications
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) required
Additional Requirements
- Shift/hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate
- $37.50 per hour
