Covington Promotions is excited to announce a new career opportunity for a seasoned sales professional. We are actively seeking a Direct Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in our headquarters, requiring the successful candidate to work on-site as this is not a remote job position. As a Direct Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our direct sales initiatives, focusing primarily on fiber internet products through door-to-door sales strategies.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of sales leadership and the ability to effectively manage and inspire a sales team. We are looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, who can not only meet sales targets themselves but also elevate the performance of their team to achieve exceptional results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute direct sales strategies to meet or exceed overall sales targets.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of direct sales personnel.
- Oversee daily sales operations including scheduling, staffing, and supply chain logistics.
- Regularly conduct market analysis to adjust sales strategies and approaches as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments.
- Lead door-to-door sales initiatives, focusing on fiber internet products, directly engaging with potential customers.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations during the sales process.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to foster sustainable growth.
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights into sales processes and challenges.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales staff, providing mentoring and coaching as necessary to achieve high performance.
- Handle complex negotiations with major clients and close deals to maximize profit margins.
- Coordinate with the marketing department to ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and sales strategies.
- Participate in industry conferences and events to network with potential clients and promote the company's products.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Direct Sales Manager or similar leadership role in sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics, particularly in door-to-door sales.
- Experience in selling telecommunications products, specifically fiber internet, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets.
- Proficient in using sales software and CRM systems.
- Must be able to work full-time on-site as this is not a remote position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development of team members.
- Ability to handle high stress situations and high-pressure sales environments.
- Result-driven and patient with excellent persuasive skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region to meet prospective clients and attend sales events.
