Providing nursing services to the Children /Adults /Substance Abuse Clients at the Martinsville CIT Center (The Lighthouse). This position is responsible for delivering nursing care in accordance with the standards of Piedmont Community Services (PCS) at our Crisis Receiving Center.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting nursing assessments
- Evaluating and monitoring clients' physical health needs
- Administering medications in collaboration with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Collecting lab specimens as needed
- Completing all required documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
This role also involves providing direct psychiatric nursing services while on-site at the center. Candidates must be team-oriented and able to communicate effectively with local physicians' offices and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
- Must be a Licensed RN or LPN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- One year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred
- Must be familiar with standard office equipment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Availability on weekends and some holidays is required
The Martinsville CIT Center operates 24/7 to provide crisis services to Martinsville/Henry County and surrounding areas.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience as it relates to the position.
