Government Travel Consultant

CI Azumano is Seneca Holdings' full-service travel management company for businesses, governments, and personal travelers. CI Azumano is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused government travel consultant to support federal agencies with professional travel services. This position ensures travel arrangements meet government standards while delivering exceptional service. No prior government travel experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided. This is a remote position with one week of in-person orientation at our home office in Virginia Beach, VA.
Responsibilities
- Secure air, car, and hotel accommodations for contracted government agencies.
- Ensure all aspects of booked travel (domestic and international) adhere to government travel regulations and verify high-quality accommodations and transportation.
- Maintain queues throughout the day and initiate cancellation or reservation change processes as needed, including timely client agency notification.
- Provide updates to client agencies to keep them informed of travel information and status.
- Conduct routine research of travel industry changes, trends, and offerings to ensure up-to-date guidance for client agencies.
- Maintain a professional customer service attitude and demeanor, ensuring timely and accurate completion of travel arrangements and suggesting value-added services.
- Weekend work is required for this position.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, with some post-high school education
- Travel industry experience
- Proactive approach to systems and processes
- Working knowledge of WorldSpan and SABRE GDS
- Written and verbal communication skills
