Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer

The Role: Head of Infrastructure Security

We are looking for a deeply experienced and driven security leader to join as Head of Infrastructure Security - a role that bridges traditional infrastructure security with protocol-level cryptographic assurance.

You will own and drive security across both our cloud-native and on-chain systems, working closely with protocol engineers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure we remain secure at every layer. You’ll also be responsible for building and mentoring a world-class security team, and ensuring strong, scalable security practices across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead security strategy and execution across both infrastructure and protocol layers.

• Drive secure implementation verification of cryptographic protocols, including hands-on review and testing.

• Partner closely with engineering, DevOps, and protocol teams to improve security posture.

• Conduct deep threat modeling, design reviews, and architecture assessments.

• Build and manage a high-performing security team.

• Oversee vulnerability management, detection, and incident response.

• Set and maintain robust engineering and security processes.

• Educate and mentor the broader team on secure development practices.

What We’re Looking For

• A deep passion for advancing privacy, freedom, and security.

• Strong fundamentals in infrastructure and protocol security.

• Experience leading or managing technical security teams.

• Proven ability to work across cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and cryptographic protocol layers.

• Hands-on experience with threat modeling, penetration testing, intrusion detection, and forensics.

• Familiarity with languages such as Rust, C++, or Golang - Rust is preferred, but not required.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, open-source, decentralised tech environment.

• Fluent written and spoken English.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience working in blockchain or zero-knowledge proof-based systems.

• Familiarity with Solidity and secure smart contract development.

• Track record of publishing research or public vulnerability reports.
