Job Overview:

• Develop and troubleshoot engineering designs for a variety of client products.
• Manage standard, custom, and legacy products, as well as support sales efforts.
• Oversee both hardware and software design for machine and control systems.
• Ensure drawings adhere to the latest electrical code for accuracy and compliance.
• Support Electrical Assemblers during system assembly and preflight checks.
• Offer field service support and installation, potentially requiring travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design control systems from inception to completion, meeting client and internal standards.
• Create machine designs with comprehensive power, control systems, and electrical diagrams in line with project requirements.
• Collaborate with Control Specialists to ensure accurate drawings following electrical code standards.
• Generate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for machine/system designs.
• Develop machine/system programs and operator interface programs adhering to client standards.
• Document PLC and HMI programs for each machine, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Compile spare parts lists for client systems.
• Support Controls Engineering and Product Managers in designing Electrical Systems tailored to customer specifications.
• Fulfill other assigned duties as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, an Associate's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience will be considered.
• For Junior Level: 3+ years of experience; For Senior Level: 5+ years of experience in controls/electrical engineering.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Project.
• Team player with a positive demeanor.
• Familiarity with industrial communications protocols (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNET, Profibus, etc.).
• Proficiency in software applications such as Studio 5000, RSLogix, RsLinx, Factory Talk View Studio, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Allen Bradley Operator Interface and PLC hardware/software.
• Understanding of mechanical machine design and electrical codes/regulations (NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508a).
• Willingness to travel up to 25-30%.
