Videographer + Content Creator

Hope Church | Richmond, VA | Full-Time

Hope Church is seeking an experienced Videographer + Content Creator who is passionate about telling meaningful stories of faith, transformation, and community. This role is central to capturing the heart of what God is doing at HOPE and helping people connect more deeply with Jesus through compelling visual media.

Storytelling & Content Production

• Create long- and short-form videos that highlight transformation, ministry impact, and community life
• Produce multi-platform content for services, social media, campaigns, and digital communications
• Develop seasonal and series-based video assets (Christmas, Easter, sermon series, capital campaigns)
• Produce worship videos and bumper videos that support HOPE’s brand and message
• Ensure all content aligns with our mission, visual identity, and brand standards

Photography & Visual Capture

• Serve as secondary event photographer during services and events
• Capture high-quality footage and photos for communications and ministry storytelling
• Organize, archive, and manage media assets
• Retrieve and edit sermon footage for distribution and repurposing

Workflow & Project Management

• Own a documented, repeatable production workflow from intake to delivery
• Use Asana to manage tasks, deadlines, and communication
• Collaborate closely with staff, ministry partners, and creatives
• Deliver high-quality work while occasionally navigating quick turnarounds

Technical Skills

• Operate cameras, audio gear, lighting, and production equipment
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom)
• Basic graphic design using Adobe or Canva
• Color grading, motion graphics, and animation (After Effects)

• Proven experience producing both long-form and short-form video content
• Creative strength combined with technical expertise
• Excellent understanding of social media culture
• Strong project management skills; self-starting and collaborative
• Prior ministry or church communications experience preferred

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs of equipment
• Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders and work at height when necessary
• Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in varied environments

Full-time (40 hours/week)

• Sundays: 7:30 am–12:30 pm
• Mon–Thurs: 9 am–5 pm
• Occasional evenings + some Saturdays for events
• Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday are required “all-in” days
