BLD is a busy, interior design firm, looking for a talented and detail oriented Interior Designer or Interior Design Assistant. Our ideal candidate is a team player, loves design, is organized, a strong communicator, with an ability to multi-task. If you're looking for a new adventure and are excited to help us build our business, this position may be for you. Potential for full time.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the creation of interesting and timeless designs according to client's aesthetic, lifestyle and budget requirements
• Source, price and present materials and furnishings
• Price, order and track furniture orders
• Assist with the specification of construction elements such as cabinetry, built-ins and trim details
• Maintain client, vendor, and contractor communications
• Work with Project Manager to maintain timelines and implementation plan
• General office, accounting, administrative and studio duties

Our ideal candidate:

• A minimum 3 years experience working in the Interior Design industry
• Motivated, positive, can-do attitude, willing to jump in and do whatever needs to be done to get the job done
• Excellent people and organizational skills
• Professional and reliable
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure
• Proficient in general software systems: Word, Excel, Power Point
• Experience with design software such as Revit, Sketchup, CAD, Designfiles, etc.
• Familiar with social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. easily

Terms/Compensation:

• Part-time/Contract
• College degree not required
• Training Provided
• Compensation will depend upon experience and abilities

Job Flexibility: Once trained and fully engaged, some remote work and flexibility with work schedule is possible.
