Dentist (Regular Ft)
Summary
The Fredericksburg Health Care Center (FSHCC) is currently looking to hire a general staff dentist who will perform a full range of professional dental procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective - restorative - or preventive measures.
Duties
- The General Dentistry Dental Officer shall be proficient in all aspects of general dentistry including the ability to perform selected specialty services
- Oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity and its adjacent tissues and structures
- Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions
- Administer local anesthesia
- Routine and complex restoration of teeth
- Simple and complex extractions of teeth
- Alveoloplasty and other routine surgical procedures
- Prosthetic dentistry to include removable complete dentures—removable partial dentures—crowns, fixed bridge work—and implant-supported prostheses
- Routine endodontic procedures on single and multi-canal teeth
- Routine and surgical procedures within the scope of a general dentist
- Other duties as assigned
Work Schedule: Monday‑Friday - 8:00 am‑4:30 pm
