Marketing Associate
Position Responsibilities:
- Enhance supplier relations through development, communication, and monitoring of annual and monthly business plans.
- Understand and communicate the supplier’s marketing plans and strategies to managers, sales and delivery teams.
- Plan and monitor special events, work with’s, and customer contact. Maximize consumer sampling opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with the brand managers on upcoming events, promotions and opportunities to advance the business in the market.
- Involve supplier alliances and sponsorships with professional teams, social groups, fan clubs and industry organizations.
- Be well versed with sales data systems in order to: prepare targeted plans, track activity, and report results versus goals.
- Assist with inventory by monitoring seasonal and special order inventory levels. Work with suppliers and brand managers to create reliable suggested orders to assist the Purchasing Manager.
- Monitor accounts to verify sales execution in conjunction with planned expectation.
- Report execution deficiencies to sales management.
- Manage the Point of Sale budget and work closely with suppliers on the order by providing suggestions that work in conjunction with retail needs.
- Assure that all brand related activity requiring supplier reimbursement is correctly documented and provided to accounting on a timely basis.
- Develop and distribute internal and external sales materials and newsletters.
- Assist with Chain contract submission.
- Manage price letter updates and sales teams notifications.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of marketing experience
- Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft office experience preferred
- Must be 21 years of age
- Ability to communicate with customers, management and co workers
- Strong presentation skills either one on one or in a group setting
- College degree preferred
- Valid drivers license, reliable transportation and current automobile insurance with at least the minimum state required coverage levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
