Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An established healthcare organization is preparing to launch a new long-term care pharmacy and is seeking a skilled Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee all aspects of the operation. This unique opportunity offers the chance to take a leadership role from the ground up, managing both pharmacy operations and clinical staff.

Position Overview:

• Full-time, direct hire position

• Start date within 23 weeks

• Located in Southwest Virginia

• Modern long-term care facility with a team of 40+ employees

• Operating on a 24/7 schedule with a three-shift model

• Utilizing Frameworks and DocuTrack pharmacy systems

• Relocation assistance available (negotiable)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations in pliance with pany policies and regulatory standards

• Maintain adherence to all state and federal pharmacy laws

• Develop and enforce quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures

• Drive productivity and provide leadership to the pharmacy team

• Maintain a hands-on leadership approach, supporting staff as needed

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and ensure accuracy

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• At least 5 years of experience in long-term care pharmacy

• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in LTC settings

• Strong munication and team management skills

• Familiarity with Frameworks and DocuTrack systems preferred

• Active Virginia Pharmacist License required at time of hire
