About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer to provide mission focused Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to government clients.

Position Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with customers to develop and implement systems by generating Concepts of Operations, defining requirements, and providing technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with mission objectives and timelines.
• Work with program and external stakeholders to define new, and refine existing, Interface Control Documents.
• Oversee prime contractors migration to the Cloud, and ensure systems continue to meet customer requirements, risk tolerance, budget, and schedule.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including hardware and software, to ensure system integration and mission success.
• Foster communication and alignment among team members to identify challenges and corresponding solutions.
• Evaluate prime contractor performance at milestone reviews by analyzing compliance with technical requirements, and quality of deliverables. Offer recommendations to enhance project outcomes and likelihood of success.
• Identify and manage risks throughout the systems engineering lifecycle by conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring potential impacts on mission objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proactive risk management and enhance overall mission success.
• Oversee system and network tests and integration runs, and ensure issues are captured and brought into compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
• TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Experience with Cloud migration required.
• AWS experience desired.
• Space system ground segment experience desired.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
