We are seeking a dynamic Civil Engineer to join our innovative and sustainability-focused civil engineering firm. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and overseeing land development projects for industrial, commercial, and residential sites, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and client objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D for land development projects.
• Perform hydraulic modeling for water and sewer systems, including static and extended period simulations.
• Plan and design stormwater management systems, grading, and erosion control measures.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Prepare technical reports, plans, and cost estimates for projects.
• Integrate sustainable practices into designs to minimize environmental impact.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 2-5+ years of civil engineering experience within site development projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• EIT Certification or PE License is preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with stormwater management design, site grading, erosion control, and drainage design.
• Demonstrated ability to show initiative and reliability.
• Experience in land development and civil design.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Herndon, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
