Senior Software Test Engineer - ERP Systems

Solution Street is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer with experience testing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This role emphasizes end-to-end validation of integrations and data flows across multiple integrated systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dayforce, and Microsoft Fabric.

The ideal candidate has strong technical testing skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience validating cross-system integrations, financial data integrity, and enterprise analytics platforms . In addition to hands-on testing, this role serves as a technical leader , mentoring other QA engineers, guiding testing strategy, and helping teams maintain delivery velocity while ensuring high quality standards.

This is a remote-friendly role. Candidates must be based in the United States and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

What You'll Do

• Validate the r eliability, data integrity, and security of a modern ERP ecosystem built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dayforce, and Microsoft Fabric.

• Perform integration testing across multiple enterprise systems , including API-based integrations and data synchronization workflows.

• Validate financial data accuracy and reconciliation across ERP and analytics platforms.

• Test analytics pipelines and enterprise reporting datasets within the Microsoft Fabric environment.

• Execute end-to-end business workflow testing spanning HR, finance, and analytics platforms.

• Collaborate closely with solution architects, data engineers, and application teams to ensure the platform meets operational, financial, and regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines .

• Create and maintain clear, structured test plans and test cases within a test management system.

• Lead testing discussions and help define quality strategy and test coverage for complex enterprise systems.

• Mentor and support QA engineers while promoting testing best practices and process improvements .

What We're Looking For

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.

• Experience testing ERP systems, financial systems, or other enterprise platforms .

• Experience testing enterprise integrations , including APIs and cross-system data workflows.

• Experience validating data platforms or analytics pipelines .

• Strong background in backend and integration testing , including APIs, services, and database interactions.

• Experience building and maintaining automated test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines .

• Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting .

• Solid understanding of performance testing principles for distributed systems.

• Proven ability to design, document, and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases .

• Ability to lead testing discussions and guide teams on quality strategy and coverage.

• Demonstrated experience mentoring QA engineers and promoting best practices .

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Technical Skills

• API testing and automation (Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools)
• Automated testing frameworks
• SQL and database validation
• CI/CD pipeline integration
• Automated data testing and validation techniques
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Experience with Dayforce HCM
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data platforms
• Experience testing financial systems or ERP implementations
• Experience working in r egulated or audit-sensitive environments
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
