Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Government Site in Leesburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help prevent incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
- Maintain detailed records and write reports on daily activities, observations, and incidents as required.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related situation that may arise while on duty.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
- Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
