Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Access Screening in Accomac, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a busy food and beverage location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support security-related protocols for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In a team-driven environment, you will bring reliability, integrity, and a people-first approach to every shift.

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
- Monitor entrances, gates, badge activity, and visitor logs to help support authorized entry and exit for people, vehicles, and deliveries.
- Verify identification, issue visitor credentials, and communicate access instructions to guests, vendors, and contractors in accordance with location protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, receiving areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
