Senior Staff Accountant

Kforce has a client in Alexandria, VA that is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle General Ledger (GL) accounting, customer billing, and banking/treasury functions. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the financial health of our organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Cycle GL Accounting: Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Customer Billing: Handle invoicing, receiving payments, and maintaining accurate billing records. Ensure timely and accurate billing for our two real estate properties
• Banking/Treasury: Oversee banking activities, including cash management, bank reconciliations, and treasury functions
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• 3-5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant with a focus on full-cycle GL accounting
• Customer Billing: Experience in invoicing and receiving payments
• Real Estate Billing: Ability to manage billing for two real estate properties
• Banking/Treasury: Proven experience in banking and treasury functions
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members

• Large ERP systems: Familiarity with large ERP systems is preferred; Training will be provided if not already experienced
• Real Estate Experience: Experience in real estate holding is preferred
