Palliative Medicine Inpatient Physician Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Palliative Medicine Inpatient Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and symptom evaluations to inform personalized care plans.
• Manage acute pain and symptom control using evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive palliative care strategies aligned with patient goals and clinical guidelines.
• Utilize Epic as our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Assist in admissions, discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions to the next level of care while coordinating with case managers and family members.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies while delivering safe, aseptic techniques.
• Expected census of up to 12 patients daily.

Experience

• Proven hospital experience in inpatient settings such as ICU, Level I or Level II trauma centers, or emergency rooms with exposure to critical care environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including Epic.
• Background in acute care specialties such as internal medicine, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or geriatrics is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ventilator management, airway management techniques, dialysis procedures, and infectious disease care enhances your ability to provide comprehensive inpatient support.
