Locum MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Pathology
Description

As a Locum MD/DO in Pathology, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical services while working closely with our clients to ensure patient care standards are met. Your expertise will contribute to various projects aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and examinations to determine patient conditions
- Interpret laboratory results and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in the development and implementation of pathology protocols
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide consultations on pathology-related matters
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pathology
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements in medical practices
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Current medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in pathology or related medical field preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical software and electronic health records
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Call: Weeknights (5p-8a) and weekends (24-hour)
Skills Required: Frozen sections, reading clinically on the floor, cytopathology adequacies, and grossing of surgical specimens
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
