MRI Technologist Job Details – Richmond, VA

• Location: Richmond, VA 23298 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 15, 2025 – December 15, 2025)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Level I Trauma Center
• Shift: Mid-shift, 5x8-hour evenings (Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
• Estimated Weekly Hours: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2870 - $2950
• Unit: North Ground MRI (4 Siemens MRI scanners: Aera and Vida platforms)

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent MRI Technologist experience (2 years preferred)
• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Virginia state license or compact eligibility (30-day work authorization may be accepted with timely licensure follow-up)
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
• PACS and contrast administration experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Two professional references required

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of MRI procedures for diverse patient populations, from neonates to geriatrics
• Operate Siemens MRI scanners (Aera and Vida) and utilize advanced imaging software
• Prepare and administer contrast media as needed
• Ensure patient safety, including screening for implants and pacemakers (conditional and non-conditional)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced Level I Trauma hospital environment
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using PACS and EPIC (if applicable)
• Provide compassionate clinical support to inpatients and outpatients, including those requiring anesthesia assistance
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including natural nail policy and required modules during orientation
