Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Richmond, Virginia (Zip: 23225) – Richmond healthcare jobs
• Facility: LDRP Unit (11 Labor Beds, 2 Triage, 2 OR)
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (locum tenens)
• Start Date: August 11, 2025
• End Date: November 10, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-Hour Days (07:00-19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1730
• Scheduling: Every 3rd weekend; self-scheduling platform
• Charting System: Meditech/CPN
• Equipment: Monica wireless fetal monitoring, GE fetal monitoring
• Uniform: Navy

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Fetal Monitor Certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• Clinical proficiency in fetal monitor interpretation, high-risk antepartum care, active labor management, c-section circulation, post-partum care, circumcision assist, bili light care, lab draws (mother and baby), and magnesium administration for pre-eclamptic patients

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and couplets (1:1 and 3:1 ratios)
• Interpret fetal monitoring and manage high-risk antepartum and active labor patients
• Assist with c-section circulation, post-partum care, circumcision procedures, and bili light therapy
• Perform lab draws from mothers and newborns
• Administer magnesium for pre-eclamptic patients
• Participate in bedside reporting and safety rounding to enhance patient experience
• Float to sister Labor & Delivery/Postpartum units as needed
• Collaborate with Birth Registrar and Surgical OR Technicians
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Meditech/CPN
