Landscape Construction Production Manager

As a Landscape Construction Production Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that all construction projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily and weekly production schedules for all landscape construction crews.
  • Assign manpower, equipment, and materials to projects based on scope and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to monitor quality, efficiency, and crew performance.
  • Review contracts, designs, and takeoffs to ensure accurate field execution.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Estimating teams to review project scopes and resolve discrepancies before mobilization.
  • Coordinate purchasing and delivery of materials using company-approved systems.
  • Track job progress, production hours, and material usage for profitability analysis.
  • Lead production meetings with Crew Leaders and Foremen to ensure alignment and address challenges.
  • Enforce company safety standards, including PPE usage and training protocols.
  • Coach and guide crew members to develop skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Assist with hiring, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and promotions within the construction division.
  • Work with administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely submission of job-related paperwork.
  • Report delays, change orders, or issues to management and the Sales team promptly.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of company equipment and vehicles.
  • Assist with snow operations during winter months as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally in client interactions when required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience in landscape construction.
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple crews and job sites simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of planting practices, grading, drainage, and soil preparation.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as skid steers, trenchers, compactors, and saws.
  • Excellent communication, task planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide documentation verifying employment eligibility.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and/or lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for 8 hours or more.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and smell.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds depending on project needs.
  • Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and around moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and vibrations.
  • Noise levels can be loud to very loud.
