Outside Sales Professional

Position Overview

As the demand for reliable electrical infrastructure continues to grow across industries such as advanced science, government, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, and data center development, we are committed to providing innovative solutions to meet our clients' needs. Our product offerings span several critical power categories, including:

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
Power Distribution Units (PDU)
Remote Power Panels (RPP)
Low-Voltage (LV) and Medium-Voltage (MV) Switchgear
LV and MV Transformers
UL 891 & UL 67 Panels
Generators and Associated Switching

This role requires advanced knowledge of electrical distribution systems and related technical expertise. As an Outside Sales Professional, you will identify and cultivate new client accounts while expanding relationships with existing customers across these industries.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Preferred Skills:

Advanced technical knowledge in electrical distribution systems
Proven sales and prospecting techniques
Proficiency in CRM software
Self-motivated with excellent follow-up and organizational skills
Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, PDF tools)
Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or a related field
Advanced sales and relationship-building experience
5+ years of sales experience in electrical distribution or the construction industry

Work Schedule

Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Additional Hours: Participation in after-hours networking events and client meetings may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the marketing plan.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, including following up on leads and referrals.
Consult with customers to close sales, process orders, and collaborate with the inside sales team for sourcing materials.
Increase awareness of the company's capabilities and service offerings in new and existing markets.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any complaints professionally and promptly.
Explore opportunities in new geographic markets and product categories that align with company expertise.
Attend industry events and participate in relevant associations to expand market presence.

Collaboration with Sales Team

Share feedback on missed sales opportunities, product mix, and customer insights.
Assist the inventory team by reporting discrepancies and participating in inventory counts.
Stay informed about new products and provide feedback to improve offerings.

Compensation

This is a commission-based position. Details of the commission structure will be discussed with qualified candidates.
