Line Cook
Job Overview
A Line Cook follows instruction from Kitchen Manager/Kitchen Supervisor to maintain the highest standards of food quality, cost control, consistency, and cleanliness. Cooks order a variety of foods that require short prep time.

What You'll Be Doing 🍳
- Promote a strong work culture, CUBANISM and uphold brand service standards.
- Executed prep list and other food preparation, per direction of Chef on Duty
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of station and kitchen at all times throughout shift per company standards and Department of Health and local regulations
- Responsible for stocking and maintaining high quality products and material.
- Completes checklist(s) on a daily basis and communicates to the Kitchen Manager/Kitchen Lead of any inconsistencies prior to start of service.
- Reviews mise-en-place for station prior to service to ensure optimal quality and prep levels
- Prepares and executes dishes during service, following Colada Shop recipes and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, quality and appealing presentation.
- Maintain a safe workplace and informs Kitchen Manager/Kitchen Lead safety concerns
- Receives deliveries, checks them in correctly for quality/quantity, disperses to proper holding area and gives all invoices to the office
- Completes other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager/Kitchen Lead and/or Store Manager
Sanitation, Hygiene, and Safety
- Maintains sanitation to Department of Health standards; keeps work areas clean and organized.
- Maintains and strictly abides by state sanitation/health regulations and restaurant requirements and procedures.
- Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; uses equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
- Inspects the cleanliness and organization of the line and workstations; rectifies any deficiencies.
- Inspects the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring everything complies with standards.
- Maintains proper storage procedures as specified by Department of Health requirements.
- Maintains proper personal hygiene including but not limited to proper hand washing, well kept uniform (please refer to handbook or supervisor for additional information)

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant.
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Exude excellence in hospitality
- Analytical and organizational skills, excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills and adaptability to change in a fast paced environment
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and maintain professionalism in a stressful environment
- Passion for exceptional hospitality, food, and beverages.
- Ability to work flexible work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in an environment that may be exposed to hazardous situations
- Able to work in an environment exposed to hot and cold temperatures, such as when ovens or freezers.
