If so, we currently have an immediate need for a Recording Systems Specialist. The ideal candidate for this position is someone that has a passion and experience supporting the interests of public safety communications through information technology.

In this key technical role as Recording Systems Specialist, you will participate as a leading member of our project delivery and after-hours support teams by providing project implementation leadership and tier 1-3 support. The Recording Systems Specialist will be responsible for interfacing with project teams and directly with customers. This position will report to the Services Supervisor/Manager. A Systems Analyst serves a critical role in every stage of the recording system life cycle. They will assist the sales team to design systems and provide technical review for quotes. They will assist the project management team in executing the design. They will assist the service team in maintaining systems in mission-critical environments.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting technical solutions within the public safety industry, or equivalent.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of recording systems concepts including hardware, software, troubleshooting methodology, technical issue diagnosis, problem solving, networking fundamentals, and communication protocols including telephony, radio, Voice-over-IP, and Radio-over-IP.
  • Must possess the ability to produce written documentation.
  • Must be a good communicator, able to translate technical information to concepts for teammates, customers, manufacturers, and other vendors.
  • Must maintain CJIS Security and Privacy certification, and any other assigned job-related certifications.
  • Must have a valid US driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Job Duties:

A Systems Analyst will provide responsive support and help to develop engaged and collaborative employees by working closely with the service team to:

  • Take the initiative to stay up to date on the latest product improvements, remaining in a position to educate other team members.
  • Work on advanced technical support cases.
  • Provide advanced technical support for the service team with the goal of educating team members in technical matters and troubleshooting methodology.
  • Be responsible to maintain active remote access to customer equipment that is usually restricted and exclusive.
  • Work with the service team managers to set standards and best practices.
  • When required, be available by phone outside normal business hours as a part of a rotating on-call schedule to provide advanced technical support.
  • Assist in developing training programs for the CRS team

A Systems Analyst will work to maximize industry engagement and grow customer partnerships by working closely with the Sales team to:

  • Be a technical resource during discussions with prospects and customers, during demos, and during conferences when possible.
  • Be a technical resource to assist the sales team in gathering technical requirements.
  • Be a technical resource to educate the sales team members on technical matters.
  • Assist in recording solutions design based on customer requirements.
  • Provide technical review for solution quotes.
  • A Systems Analyst will grow renewals through exceeding expectations and grow revenue by working closely with the project team to:
  • Be a technical resource to provide explanation of system design to customers and technicians.
  • Be a technical resource to provide supplemental technical training to address specific project tasks and project cases.
  • Work with the project management team to develop standards for quality assurance and validation of completed project tasks.
  • Ensure quality end user training is provided to customers
  • Be a technical resource for advanced integrations and complex installations and cut overs both remote and onsite when needed.
  • Be a resource to validate installation and cutover tasks for project management.

A Systems Analyst will also provide support to maintain internal systems and I.T. infrastructure including but not limited to administration of Salesforce, CRS website, CRS remote access tools, and Google Workspaces. While this role can be performed through remote work, there will be occasional travel opportunities to fulfill job functions. While this role does not participate in the service team after-hours on-call rotation schedule, it is expected that Systems Analysts will be available by phone to provide advanced technical support to other team members outside of normal business hours. Systems Analysts are responsible for all other duties as assigned.
