Plumbing Estimator/Project Manager
Plumbing Estimator/Project Manager Summary:
The Plumbing Estimator & Project Manager plays a key role in the successful planning, coordination, and execution of plumbing projects. This position is responsible for accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, and overseeing plumbing projects from concept through completion. This dual-role position requires both analytical and operational expertise—combining precise cost estimation with hands-on project management to ensure successful delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves managing communication with vendors, other subcontractors, and internal teams, while monitoring project costs, schedules, and compliance with standards.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Attend Site Visits, review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Break down estimates for job costing before project commencement.
- Obtain necessary municipal approvals, permits, and licenses.
- Generate and submit timely monthly invoices.
- Monitor project progress and perform quality control inspections.
- Prepare and document change orders as needed.
- Address challenges reported by Plumbing Crews and provide technical assistance as needed.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, including key documents and correspondence.
- Manage warranty communication and post-project follow-up.
- Support sales efforts by following up on any credible leads.
- Assist with monthly training sessions for plumbing crews on topics that enhance their Plumbing & Gas skills and benefit the company.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of plumbing estimating and project management experience.
- Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications and blueprints.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
