Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

As a journeyman electrician, you will be instrumental in supporting the installation of electrical systems for infrastructure in data centers throughout Northern Virginia. Your expertise will ensure that control and distribution apparatus, such as motors, relays, switches, thermostats, and circuit-breaker panels, are installed and repaired efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Interpret plans, sketches, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Determine method and sequence of proposed installation of electrical fixtures and equipment, including AC/DC motors, control panels, PLCs, switches, and more.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 years of electrical construction experience.
• At least 4 years of commercial experience.
• Journeyman license or equivalent electrical training and experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience on 10-50k square foot projects.
• Experience working in data centers or mission-critical facilities is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
